Congressmen trying to put kibosh on D.C. marriage equality and other Wednesday midday news briefs

39 Congressional Republicans want to trample on D.C.’s right to pass same-sex marriage law - But according to surveys, D.C. residents want this law. So much for the will of the people.

HRC's response to David Letterman's skit about transgender Obama nominee Amanda Simpson - I've never found David Letterman to be funny in the first place and he needs to apologize for this skit.
